My gym closed down at the start of the pandemic. I was very lucky to get my membership canceled right before other wise they would have stolen my money.
CHARGED ME THREE TIMES THE AMOUNT OF THE MEMBERSHIP DUES AND WILL NOT RETURN CALLS, EMAILS, MESSAGES, ATTORNEY GENERAL COMPLAINTS, BBB COMPLAINTS, FTC COMPLAINTS, REVIEWS, FACEBOOK MESSAGES AND MORE. I CANT ACCESS THE GYM, GET A CARD, TALK TO ANYONE, ACTIVATE THE MEMBERSHIP OR EVEN CANCEL AND THE LOCATION IS STILL OPEN. PEOPLE WORKING OUT TELL ME THE OWNER REARLY COMES IN AND THEY HEARD THIS HAPPENS. HE NEVER CLEANS THE PLACE AND NO THROUGH COVID NEVER FILLS THE WIPES OR CLEANING SUPPLIES. SCAM!
Taking advantage of vulnerable customers
I asked for my account to be frozen as I am unable to go to the Snap Fitness Chiswick gym during this pandemic as I am living with a vulnerable person and have been isolating at home. My account was only frozen for two months and now I am being charged even though I informed them I am still unable to return. Apparently no refund can be issued.
Forcing someone to return to an enclosed underground area with people breathing heavily and exposing an individual to an increased risk of contracting Coronavirus is against the government guidelines and should not be allowed.
Lies from start to finish! Promised so many things prior to enrolling at the gym & once you sign up, change everything! My son didn't end up getting an access card since he was just under 16 years & had to constantly wait outside as no one was there to open the door to access. Further, although I requested them to revoke my membership via phone & email, still kept charging my card & came out with more lies to justify their actions. I was paying a premium which was said to allow me to cancel anytime, but apparently not... so the guy who enrolled us, lied again! Bellbowrie Snap Fitness is the worst ever gym we have been to in our life! Rude & appalling level of service. Never to recommend to anyone! Total RIP OFF! Although we sent an email to member services, they just forwarded to the Bellbowrie gym & all they did was just keep spinning their lies to get more money! Australian Consumer Affairs' need to look into these gyms that over charge consumers & provide no service at all for the fees paid!
I paid upfront for 6 months in January this year for a 6 months plan, and instead of freezing the membership during the Covid-19 lockdown so I could return now, they didn't and now my gym is permanently closed and I lost 4 months of membership. The owner (Osborne unit - Winnipeg - Canada) says he doesn't have money and he won't pay me back. As the plan ended, I lost over CDN200.00. There are still other locations but my membership expired and I can't do anything.
Just try to avoid this Snap Fitness.
All business and clients were affected by the pandemic. It's not fair that I'm losing so much money.
